Ross Tromans Position: President & Chief Executive Officer Mr. Tromans joined the company in September 2012. He has over 30-years sales and marketing experience in the coal and energy sectors covering the Asian and North American markets. Most recently, he was General Manager Marketing at Rio Tinto Coal Australia where he was responsible for the development and implementation of the overall marketing strategy for thermal, coking and semi-soft coal. Previously, Mr. Tromans held senior roles at Rio Tinto including General Manager Marketing and Sales at Rio Tinto Alcan, Director New Markets and Service at Kennecott Energy and General Manager Marketing at Kaltim Prima Coal.

David Bartel Position: Vice President, Investor Relations and External Affairs Mr. Bartel has been Vice President of Investor Relations and External Affairs since April 2011 having been Vice President of Mongolian Operations since September 2009, and prior to that the General Manager of SGS since November 2007 and SGS' manager of engineering since joining the company in January 2007. He has over 30 years' experience in the mineral resources industry. He was formerly an independent consultant to the coal mining industry and a project manager and consultant to the coal and other mining industries with Wiley Consulting LLC. Starting in September 1982 he held various positions including Chief Engineer and Director of Environmental and Engineering Services for the Coal Division of Entech, Inc., the non-regulated arm of Montana Power Co., and various subsidiaries of that company. He was a mining engineer for Phillips Coal Co. from August 1981 to September 1982. From June 1979 to July 1981 he was a mining engineer for Utah International Co. Mr. Bartel received his Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering with High honours from the Colorado School of Mines in 1979. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in the US states of Colorado, Montana, and Arkansas.

Justin Kapla Position: President,SouthGobi Sands LLC Justin Kapla joined SouthGobi in October 2010 as General Manager,Ovoot Tolgoi Operations. Mr. Kapla has over 14 years experience in the mining industry in North America, Mongolia and West Africa. He holds a bachelor of science in metallurgical engineering and a master's degree in international management.

Allison Snetsinger Position: Corporate Secretary Allison Snetsinger joined SouthGobi as Assistant Corporate Secretary in December 2003 and in May 2012 appointed as Corporate Secretary. Mrs. Snetsinger spent over 10 years providing regulatory and corporate services to public and private companies, primarily in mining and resource development. She is the Assistant Corporate Secretary of Turquoise Hill Resources Ltd. and a member of the Canadian Society for Corporate Secretaries.
