Mongolia may build a small-scale nuclear power plant in order to have a reliable and appropriate source of energy to meet increasing demand of the country.
Discussion on this matter was held in Japan during a week long visit by the Presidential Office chairperson D.Dorligjav of Mongolia. Dorligjav met with competent officials to discuss what can be done to make it possible, what resources do Mongolia have and how Japan can help with. As result, the sides agreed to study jointly the possibilities of building the plant.
During the visit, the sides also discussed in principal about Japanese support to Mongolia in having own communication and weather satellites.
