The First Lady of Mongolia, Mrs. Khajidsuren Bolormaa, briefed on her efforts undertaken nationally and internationally to support cancer control in Mongolia during the Director General's official visit.
In his meeting with the Mongolian Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade, Mr. Gombojav Zandanshatar, IAEA Director-General Yukiya Amano discussed the Agency's cooperation with Mongolia in health care, animal productivity and energy planning.
During his official visit to Mongolia, IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano met Ms. Jadambaa Tsolmon, Vice-Minister for Health, to discuss the Agency's continuing support for Mongolia's cancer control program.
In its support for Mongolia's cancer control programme, the IAEA's Programme of Action for Cancer Therapy is cooperating with Mongolian health authorities to help improve cancer care in the country. During his official visit to Mongolia, IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano was briefed on cancer care at the National Cancer Center in Ulan Bator.

During his official visit to Mongolia, IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano met Mr. Sodnom Enkhbat, Director General of the Mongolian Nuclear Energy Agency, to discuss the role of nuclear energy in Mongolia's energy planning.

On 2 November 2010, Prime Minister Sukhbaataryn Batbold received IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano during the Director General´s official visit to Mongolia. The Prime Minister and the Director General discussed the IAEA´s support for Mongolia's national cancer control program and its energy planning.
4 November 2010 | During his two-day official visit to Mongolia, IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano met senior officials in Ulaanbaatar, including Prime Minister Sükhbaataryn Batbold, Foreign Minister Gombojav Zandanshatar, Vice-Minister for Health, Ms. Jadambaa Tsolmon, and the Director General of the Mongolian Nuclear Energy Agency, Mr. Sodnom Enkhbat.
During his meetings, the Director General discussed the IAEA´s support for Mongolia´s national cancer control program, animal productivity program and its energy planning.
The First Lady of Mongolia, Mrs. Khajidsuren Bolormaa, briefed the Director General on her efforts undertaken nationally and internationally to support cancer control in Mongolia. Mrs. Bolormaa had participated in the 2010 IAEA Scientific Forum that addressed means to reverse the cancer epidemic in developing countries.
Currently, the IAEA´s Programme of Action for Cancer Therapy (PACT) is working with Mongolian health authorities to help improve cancer care in the country. During his official visit to Mongolia, Director General Amano was briefed on cancer care at the National Cancer Center in Ulaanbaatar.
